Adoption & Dogs Available

COVID has seen us left with only the most difficult dogs who need specialist homes.  Please read the descriptions carefully – these dogs all have lots of training needs and will require people with experience of reactive dogs, fear aggression to both people and dogs.

Adopting a rescue dog allows them to have a second chance in life.  We support dog rescue in the UK and abroad, and are dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and rehoming those dogs who need a little bit more extra TLC.

Please Note:  We rehome in the GREATER MANCHESTER AREA ONLY at the moment and  HOME CHECKS apply.  ADOPTION FEES are between £150 to £400 depending upon the dog’s origin. It is a months trial and full lifetime backup applies.  Please use our contact page or call us on 07412361769 for more information

6 yr old Lobo from Romania has mild epilepsy controlled with medication (comes with a years supply). He’s great with dogs, cats and only a bit nervous of people. He needs an adult home as he’s not used to children, he’s very loyal and loving when he knows you. Good in the home and a sweet companion. He’s lab size and in need of a lot of TLC. We do not think he will cope as an only dog so only those with dogs in the home should apply. He deserves his own home as soon as possible as he has waited many years in rescue.
Sparti was a very frightened dog from Romania. He has had a home for a few years but returned due to nervous reactivity to some dogs. He has been perfect with all dogs since back here. He’s still very timid needs a confident home with another dog and no children. He can live with cats and he is very good in the home. He is a lab size boy who will always be on the nervy side. Just needs love, tlc and someone to make him feel safe.
Henry is a beagle sized 4 year old boy who is hound like in nature (nose to the ground). He’s loving, cheeky and good in the home. He doesn’t like some men and has nipped. We need a child free home. He’s ok with some dogs but can be reactive to others. He can live with another dog. He’s originally from Cyprus as many of these hounds are used and abused by the hunters there. Female only home would be ideal for him. He doesn’t like cats.
Suki staff x beautiful girl who has some fears of those she doesn’t know. Ok with cats and most dogs but would be better as an only dog as she does get jealous. She’s clean in the home only 2 years old and very loving when she knows you. She’s fit and can do long walks or snuggle on the sofa. She’s high energy and clever and would benefit from some training. No kids due to her issues with those she doesn’t know.
Helen is about 3 years old. She was feral and couldn’t be touched for a long time. She’s now rehabilitated though remains extremely nervous of people. She needs a home with at least one other dog she will not cope as an only dog. She’s fine with cats too. She will always be nervous of people and can bark at visitors when she feels afraid. She needs a quiet, patient, understanding home with no children, somewhere she can continue her rehabilitation. She did well in her foster home she was clean and no chewing.
Shadow is only about 1 yr old he’s only medium sized – his pic makes him look big. He has fear reactivity to people he doesn’t know. Home must be quiet with few visitors and someone experienced of dogs with fear aggression issues. He is lovely and wonderful when he knows you, he’s good with dogs and he’s good in the home. No kids due to his reactivity. He came from a kennel based rescue where he was rehomed and bit a member of the household. We took him in and he has become very loving and sweet but still has issues with those he doesn’t know. We need somewhere he can learn to trust. He is clever and very trainable we just need the right people/home for him. He is mix probably shar pei, whippet, staff and possibly other things. High energy and high anxiety.

There is a high demand for dogs at this time due to Covid19 and so unusually we only have the dogs left who require child free experienced homes. Many of our dogs are reactive to people/other dogs on lead and require further training. Please get in touch if you can help with any of these kind of dogs. Email info@dogs4rescue.co.uk.

Please do not fund breeders. There will be a flood of lock down puppies entering the rescue system in the months to come. Please be patient if you are looking for a dog as the worst crisis to hit rescues is about to happen.
