The Perfect Site
At the height of lockdown, we stumbled on the ideal piece of land, one that could make our rescue dreams come true.
Thanks to you, we crowdfunded £450,000 to purchase this once-in-a-lifetime site for the dogs no one wants, Rescue World.
Rescue World will be a one-of-a-kind facility specialising in pack rehabilitation – and with Phase 1 complete and dogs on site, we’re now looking forward to getting started on Phase 2.
Persistence Pays Off
We had been looking for a second site for years but have always lost out to developers or run into planning challenges.
Other available plots were expensive large houses with a few acres, but this one had staggering scale and potential for a kennel-free facility.
It was unchartered fundraising territory for us but we knew if we didn’t try we would always regret it.
Our supporter base and their belief in our mission and kennel-free philosophy had grown so much thanks to our lockdown videos, and thanks to them, we were able to defy the odds and buy the site for the dogs no-one wants.
A Lifetime's Work
Creating Rescue World is a huge undertaking and it will probably take us ten years or more to realise its full potential.
But, just like our Irlam site, with your help we will start small and make it happen, one bit at a time as funds allow – the Phase 1 build is already complete!
