Perry is a very sweet boy who absolutely loves cuddles!
He can be timid to begin with but it does not take long for his very affectionate and playful side to show.
He is quite puppy like in his personality and can be mischievous – he has particularly taken a liking to a pair of red tennis shoes in his foster home.
Perry can be nervous and it has taken him some time to adjust to living in a home. He can be worried by reflections and the TV. He is making progress with this every day and has been an absolute superstar, he’s also proven to be toilet trained.
Perry does take some time to trust so will need slow, gentle introductions to new people.
He’s a very bright boy with bags of potential.
He walks really well on lead, though he can be uncertain on walks so will need some help with confidence building as he does seek reassurance. He has displayed reactivity towards some dogs which stems from insecurity but his foster family are working hard to help him overcome this.
Perry is a real foodie and was a very over enthusiastic eater when he first arrived with us but he is now starting to realise that he will be given another meal. Due to this we do advise that he is fed separately from any other dogs.
Perry is good with other dogs but we feel that he could also be rehomed as an only dog as he does not rely on them. He cannot live with cats.
Perry would be best suited to a quiet home with an experienced owner. He does have some separation anxiety so will need someone around for most of the day. He cannot live with young children.
