Laika was the first dog we rescued back in Oct 2013 when this dream started.
She had been shot by a restaurant owner in Bulgaria while she was scavenging for food – while she was able to walk again, the shooting left her doubly incontinent.
She wears nappies in the house but does have some very sparkly ones ready for the occasion when she needs to look her best!
When we started doing child psychology sessions, Laika found her dream role. She was a complete natural in her little Sunday job and enjoys her TLC time as much as the kids enjoy her helping them.
She also has her own job here too, helping new dogs to settle into kennel-free rescue life, and this all fits well with our view that it’s the dogs that end up rescuing us and each other instead!
We adore Laika, she has helped settle in so many newbies over the years.
