Akita is a deaf and partially blind American Bulldog who needs to keep her world small.
She is extremely reactive towards strangers, but loving and playful with her inner circle of people she loves and trusts. Akita is happiest and most settled in a routine where she knows what to expect.
After waking up innocent and joyful, Akita enjoys longs walks with her special walkers, who come and take her and Milo out several times a week. She adores her white prince Valentino, who she tears around the field with like a pair of loonballs, as well as indoor play with rescue husband Milo. She loves cuddles from us at bedtime.
The product of bad breeding, unfortunately Akita has a poor skeleton to match. She has already had surgery for elbow dysplasia and may need hip replacements in the years to come. But she is oblivious and lives life to the max with her boisterous energy, hilarious facial expressions, and funny ways that make us laugh every day.
Akita can never be rehomed so it is our job to keep her happy and safe for the rest of her life.
