Another year has flown by – and as 2023 comes to a close we’re reflecting on the highs and lows of the last 12 months here at Dogs 4 Rescue.
We had lots of fun compiling our heartwarming 2023 Irlam Recap – you’ll see some familiar faces old and new, our ongoing renovations and refurbishments and get to relive some special moments including the coronation of King Stuart, of course!
Across the two sites we took in 158 dogs – 150 new rescues and 8 dogs who needed to come back to us for one reason or another. We also rescued 78 dogs in desperate need from around the world staying true to our value – love knows no borders – and became the first UK rescue to partner with Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand.
Against all the odds together we managed to get 120 dogs adopted in loving homes, with a further 19 on home trials and 18 more on foster. It’s quite an achievement, but we’re always keen to do more especially now when we are facing the worst crisis in rescue on record.
