Miracle is a sweet, shy, and sensitive girl who is full of love. Once she builds trust, she blossoms into an affectionate and loyal companion who adores gentle cuddles and calm company.
In the home, Miracle is generally a perfect house guest. She much prefers a quiet, chilled-out lifestyle and isnโt suited to a busy or overly active environment. After multiple placements, she is desperately in need of stability now, and her future family must be committed to giving her a consistent, predictable home life. She has recently developed reactive behaviour towards strangers entering the home, so she will need slow, careful introductions and a family prepared to support her through this.
Miracle has also displayed some attachment behaviours indoors. She is fine being left alone, but if people are inside the home and she is separated from them, she may cry or bark because she wants to be close. With routine and reassurance, this can be managed, but itโs important her adopters understand her need for connection and security.
Miracle walks beautifully on the lead, but she can display defensive reactivity towards other dogs when out and about. With slow introductions she has shown us that she can enjoy the company of other dogs and will engage in play once she feels safe. She has lived with a male dog before, so she could live with a compatible, calm dog if introductions are done gradually.
She has previously lived with a cat, but did display some resource guarding around food so a home without cats would be best.
Before Miracle was rescued, she was hit by a car, resulting in her leg being broken in two places. She underwent surgery and the leg did heal, but further complications developed, leading to the removal of one of her toes. The long periods of rest and restricted activity throughout her recovery have likely contributed to her social skills with other dogs declining over time.
Miracleโs leg is still not quite right, and we are currently discussing next steps with our vet. It is possible that she may need further surgery in the future, so her new family must be prepared to support her through any treatments and recovery she may require. All costs relating to her leg will be covered through the rescue.
Despite her ongoing issues, she still loves her walks and has plenty of enthusiasm for gentle adventures. She has giddy moments where she loves to zoom around and play.
Miracle has so much love to give and just wants someone to help her feel safe, she really will give her whole heart to you. If you have a quiet, patient home and the dedication to help a gentle soul finally find the stability she deserves, Miracle may be the perfect match.
