Miley is a very sweet, shy girl who can be worried when she first meets new people. She needs time and patience to build trust, but once she feels comfortable with you, she becomes incredibly affectionate. She loves nothing more than sitting on your knee and having a cuddle, and there is a very loving little girl underneath her initial shyness.
Miley is doing really well in foster and is currently living happily alongside a small male dog. She could potentially live with a compatible dog in her new home. When out on lead, Miley can show some reactivity towards other dogs and motorbikes, so her new owner will need to be experienced and understanding of this.
Miley would be best suited to a calm, quiet adult-only household with an experienced owner who can give her the time she needs to settle and build confidence. She cannot live with children and would not be suitable for a home where children regularly visit, as she finds them overwhelming. She may also react to visitors coming into the home, so this will need to be managed carefully while she settles in and gets to know her new surroundings.
Once Miley trusts you, she is a wonderful, affectionate companion. She is a great little dog who loves her walks, enjoys being with her people and has so much love to give. She is currently carrying a little extra weight, so her new family will also need to help her gradually lose some weight and keep her fit and healthy.
Miley is looking for someone who will see beyond her initial nervousness, respect her boundaries and give her the patience and reassurance she needs. In return, she has the potential to become a very loving and devoted companion.
