Maisie is a shy and sensitive girl who’s slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. She’s currently undergoing rehabilitation to build her confidence, and she’s already making lovely progress — especially with learning to walk on a lead. Every small step she takes is a big achievement, and we’re so proud of how far she’s come.
Maisie will need a calm, experienced adopter who understands the needs of nervous or flighty dogs. Someone who can offer her a gentle, consistent routine and plenty of patience as she continues to grow in confidence. With the right support, Maisie will blossom into a loyal and loving companion.
She absolutely loves her food, which has been a huge help in her training, and she’s beginning to accept gentle strokes from people she trusts — a wonderful sign of her bravery and progress.
Maisie hasn’t yet been cat tested, but she will need another friendly, confident dog in her new home. Having a canine companion helps her feel safe and secure, and she takes great comfort from following their lead.
We would consider moving Maisie into a foster home to help her adjust to a home environment at her own pace. This will also help us learn more about her daily needs and personality as she continues her journey. A secure garden is essential.
Maisie may be a little reserved right now, but beneath her nervous exterior lies a kind, gentle heart that’s just waiting to shine. With time, love, and understanding, she’s sure to become an incredibly rewarding companion.
