Lola - Dogs 4 Rescue

Lola

More about Lola

Lovely Lola is a quirky girl with an inquisitive, endearing personality. She is particularly fond of soft toys.

Lola is a feral dog so she will not tolerate being touched or walked, however she happily lived in a home for several years and does enjoy her home comforts.
She has spent some time in foster where she was a star guest – she is quiet, clean and non-destructive.

When Lola arrived with us she was extremely overweight, she is now at a healthy weight but we have discovered her history of sweet treats has resulted in her being rather fussy when it comes to eating regular dog food! She has had some teeth removed and will require a soft diet. Her tongue does now stick out to the side of her mouth but we feel this just adds to her charm!

Lola is currently on medication for urinary incontinence which has been working wonders and she no longer has any accidents.

Lola does get along well with other dogs and could live with a compatible dog in her new home.
She has previously lived with cats without any issue.

Lola needs a calm, quiet household with a secure garden. She is very laid back and would be ideal for an elderly person who is looking for company but may not be able to exercise a dog.

Adoption fee: £250

About our dogs

Our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, flea & wormed and have full travel documents where appropriate. If they are arriving from overseas they will have had all the pre-travel tests as required by DEFRA and are transported through the TRACES system.

We pride ourselves on being honest and open about our dogs, sharing all we know about them including any known behaviour challenges or medical conditions.

Like all responsible rescues we offer Lifetime Rescue Back Up to all the dogs who come through our doors.

One month trial

We want our dogs to be happy in their homes for life, which is why we offer a full one month trial. As they start to relax and their personalities shine through you’ll know if your home life suits and how they get along with any other pets.

If it’s not the right fit, they can come back to rescue and get straight back to playing, and we will try to find you a more suitable match. There aren’t enough homes out there so please don’t give up if your first dog doesn’t work out.
