Kancho is an absolute heart-melter — a gentle, affectionate boy who adores human attention and isn’t shy about showing it. He loves cuddles and leaning in for affection, and his playful, giddy nature is infectious.
Kancho has settled very well in his foster home. He adapted quickly to routines and is generally clean indoors, with only occasional marking when overexcited or nervous during the first few days. He is confident around other dogs and has enjoyed play and daycare sessions. He has also passed his cat test and could live with a confident cat after careful introductions.
He is crate-trained and has been calm when left alone, showing minimal separation anxiety. However as he is only a youngster he would benefit from a home with someone around for most of the day. He’s an active boy who thrives on activity and keeping his brain busy.
Kancho enjoys his walks, though he can be reactive to some dogs and people passing by; he benefits from a confident and experienced owner to guide his socialisation. He is very food motivated, loves toys, and does occasionally chew things if left unsupervised.
Due to past experiences, Kancho can be wary of men initially, but with patience and gentle reassurance, he thrives and builds trusting relationships. He would be happiest in a home with at least one other friendly dog and ideally in a household with children aged 16+ due to his excitable nature and reactivity around strangers.
Kancho is an affectionate, playful boy who is learning about life in a loving home, and he deserves someone willing to give him the patience and understanding to shine.
