This cool little dude is happiest when life is calm, predictable and on his terms. He needs someone who understands dog body language and respects his boundaries. He should never be disturbed when he’s resting or sleeping, and needs to be given space when playing with his ball. If pushed too far, he has been known to bite. He can be affectionate but it always on his terms. If you follow our advice and give him the understanding he deserves, Jago is a truly fantastic dog who will reward you with love and plenty of joy.
Jago’s ideal home will be with an experienced and sensible owner, ideally a single-person household without children (including visiting children). He would suit someone who can provide a calm, structured environment where he can feel safe and settled. He enjoys the company of other dogs but is also happy doing his own thing, so he could live with another dog or as the only pet. He has also shown potential to live with cats.
