Hannah - Dogs 4 Rescue

Hannah

More about Hannah

Hannah is a beautiful, sensitive girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. She has come a long way since arriving in foster, where she continues to make steady progress at her own pace. While she remains a naturally nervous and easily worried dog, spending time in foster has allowed her true personality to begin shining through.

Hannah will need a calm, quiet home with an experienced adopter who understands shy or under-confident dogs. She is not suitable for a busy household or one with young children, as she can become overwhelmed by too much noise or activity.

She would greatly benefit from living with at least one confident, well-balanced dog. Hannah takes an enormous amount of reassurance from other dogs and looks to them for guidance in new situations. She currently lives with a male dog, in foster, and the two get on wonderfully. She clearly draws confidence from him and enjoys his companionship immensely.

Although Hannah can be reserved when meeting new people, once the trust is there she is the giddiest girl. She absolutely loves toys and can usually be found emptying the toy box around the house every day. She’s also a huge fan of cuddles and fuss, and isn’t shy about giving you a gentle nudge if you dare to stop stroking her. Her foster family have loved watching this playful, affectionate side of her blossom.

It didn’t take Hannah long to discover just how much she enjoys walks. The sight of her harness now sends her into a fit of excited zoomies, and she’s always eager to head out. Although she’s becoming much more confident, she is still a sensitive dog and will need her new family to continue building her confidence at a pace she is comfortable with. A secure garden is essential to help her continue this journey safely.

Like many dogs, Hannah is very food motivated. In fact, her foster family joke that the only thing she loves more than the people she trusts is her dinner.

Hannah has shown that beneath her initial worries is a beautiful, happy, cuddly girl who forms incredibly strong bonds with those she knows and loves. She simply needs time, patience and understanding to let her true personality shine.

Hannah has not yet been cat tested.

Overall, Hannah is a truly special girl looking for a patient, understanding home where she can continue to flourish. With a calm environment, a confident canine companion, and people willing to let her progress at her own pace, she will reward them with endless affection, laughter and the joy of watching her confidence continue to grow.

About our dogs

Our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, flea & wormed and have full travel documents where appropriate. If they are arriving from overseas they will have had all the pre-travel tests as required by DEFRA and are transported through the TRACES system.

We pride ourselves on being honest and open about our dogs, sharing all we know about them including any known behaviour challenges or medical conditions.

Like all responsible rescues we offer Lifetime Rescue Back Up to all the dogs who come through our doors.

One month trial

We want our dogs to be happy in their homes for life, which is why we offer a full one month trial. As they start to relax and their personalities shine through you’ll know if your home life suits and how they get along with any other pets.

If it’s not the right fit, they can come back to rescue and get straight back to playing, and we will try to find you a more suitable match. There aren’t enough homes out there so please don’t give up if your first dog doesn’t work out.
