Gracie is a very gentle, sweet-natured girl who is looking for a calm and understanding home to help her build confidence at her own pace. She can be timid when first meeting new people or experiencing new environments, but with patience and reassurance, her lovely, affectionate personality begins to shine through.
In her previous home, Gracie struggled with separation anxiety and finds being left alone or confined particularly distressing. She does not cope well with being shut in and can panic, so she will need a home where someone is around for mostโideally allโof the day to help her feel safe and secure while she settles.
Gracie is playful and friendly once she feels comfortable, and she is clean in the home. She would really benefit from living with a confident, well-balanced dog who can act as a role model and help guide her, particularly in situations where she feels unsure.
Walks can currently be a challenge for Gracie, as she can become anxious in unfamiliar environments. If she feels overwhelmed, she may pull to return home, so she will need ongoing support and gentle confidence-building in this area. Similarly, she can feel anxious when travelling in the car, so she would be best suited to a home where regular travel isnโt required.
Gracie could live with older, sensible children who understand the importance of giving her space and allowing her to approach interactions in her own time. She has previously lived with cats and could do so again, but due to her occasional excitability, they would need to be confident, dog-savvy cats.
This lovely girl just needs a patient and compassionate home that can help her feel safe, supported, and understood. With time, consistency, and kindness, Gracie has so much love to give and will make a deeply rewarding companion.
