Chip is a truly special young boy with the sweetest nature and a gentle vulnerability that makes everyone fall in love with him.
After being found with a traumatic head injury as the result of cruelty, Chip was rescued and given the care and rehabilitation he desperately needed. Thanks to his determination and the support he received, he has made a remarkable recovery. His injury has left him a little wobbly on his legs at times, but he gets around well and doesn’t let it stop him enjoying life to the fullest.
Most importantly, his difficult past hasn’t changed the wonderful dog he is. Chip is still a cheeky, fun-loving youngster who adores playing with his toys and making the most of every day. He loves human company and will happily paw at your leg when he’d like some attention or a fuss. Affection is one of his favourite things, and he thrives on love and reassurance from his people.
He would benefit from a home with someone around for most of the day.
Given everything he has been through, it’s understandable that Chip can be a little nervous around strangers and may feel worried in new situations, particularly on walks. However, once he realises he is safe, his confidence quickly grows and his happy personality shines through.
Chip is fantastic with other dogs. He is very submissive, friendly and enjoys canine company, making him a lovely companion for other dogs. He is also great with cats and could happily live in a home with a feline friend.
As a precaution following his head injury, Chip is currently receiving anti-seizure medication despite having no history of seizures. He will need ongoing monitoring, but this has not impacted his ability to enjoy life and be a normal, happy dog.
Chip has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. Now he deserves a home where he can leave his past behind, be showered with love and attention, and enjoy the happy future he has worked so hard for. He is a truly wonderful boy who will reward his new family with endless affection, loyalty and companionship.
