Brian - Dogs 4 Rescue

Brian

More about Brian

Brian is an adorable little boy who has a way of stealing your heart the moment you meet him. He has had a tough start in life and may be a little shy and reserved at first, but the moment he senses kindness, his sweet and cuddly personality soon begins to shine through. Once he feels comfortable, he loves affection, having fun and enjoys playing with those around him. He absolutely loves his toys and is a big water baby too! He is a very sweet boy, but can be timid, so he will need a patient and understanding home where he can settle at his own pace and build his confidence.

Brian mixes well with other dogs, although he can sometimes be a little bossy, so we feel he would be happiest as the only dog in the home or potentially living with a compatible female dog. He has also shown great potential to live with cats.

A secure garden would be ideal for Brian while he builds his confidence on the lead and learns to enjoy exploring the big, wide world around him. He will need a home that understands he may find new experiences a little daunting at first and is willing to give him the time, reassurance and encouragement he needs to flourish. We feel he would be best suited to a home with sensible older children aged 16 and over.

Brian may need a little patience at first, but watching this sweet boy come out of his shell and feel safe enough to show his beautiful personality will be a truly wonderful feeling. Brian has so much love to give to the special person who opens their heart and home to him.

Please note that Brian has Leishmaniasis and is currently receiving medication to manage his condition. We are happy to provide further information about his diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care to anyone interested in offering him a home.

About our dogs

Our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, flea & wormed and have full travel documents where appropriate. If they are arriving from overseas they will have had all the pre-travel tests as required by DEFRA and are transported through the TRACES system.

We pride ourselves on being honest and open about our dogs, sharing all we know about them including any known behaviour challenges or medical conditions.

Like all responsible rescues we offer Lifetime Rescue Back Up to all the dogs who come through our doors.

One month trial

We want our dogs to be happy in their homes for life, which is why we offer a full one month trial. As they start to relax and their personalities shine through you’ll know if your home life suits and how they get along with any other pets.

If it’s not the right fit, they can come back to rescue and get straight back to playing, and we will try to find you a more suitable match. There aren’t enough homes out there so please don’t give up if your first dog doesn’t work out.
