Hiro - Dogs 4 Rescue

Hiro

More about Hiro

Hiro is a pocket rocket of energy and love, his presence really does light up the room.

He is a typical hound who loves to follow his nose and is always seeking an adventure. He would make the perfect hiking buddy!

Hiro needs an experienced and confident owner as he can be very wilful at times. He is extremely bright and very food motivated which makes training a breeze.

He would really excel in the right hands and would make a fantastic project dog for the right person. A home with breed experience would suit him best, especially if he could do his favourite scent work.

Hiro is sociable with other dogs but can be selective. In a traditional home he’d be best as the the only pet, but he could also be a great addition to a stable pack in the right circumstances. He cannot live with cats due to his chase instinct.

He needs an adult only home with someone around for most of the day. An active home with a secure garden is essential.

He is a busy, enthusiastic boy who enjoys playing with his toys. When he gets enough stimulation and exercise he loves nothing more than to cuddle up at night.

Hiro has lived most of his life in rescue, so we would welcome part/full time foster home applications as well as those looking to adopt. He just needs someone to give him the chance to thrive and shine.

Adoption fee: £250

About our dogs

Our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, flea & wormed and have full travel documents where appropriate. If they are arriving from overseas they will have had all the pre-travel tests as required by DEFRA and are transported through the TRACES system.

We pride ourselves on being honest and open about our dogs, sharing all we know about them including any known behaviour challenges or medical conditions.

Like all responsible rescues we offer Lifetime Rescue Back Up to all the dogs who come through our doors.

One month trial

We want our dogs to be happy in their homes for life, which is why we offer a full one month trial. As they start to relax and their personalities shine through you’ll know if your home life suits and how they get along with any other pets.

If it’s not the right fit, they can come back to rescue and get straight back to playing, and we will try to find you a more suitable match. There aren’t enough homes out there so please don’t give up if your first dog doesn’t work out.
