Helen

More about Helen

Black beauty Helen has been spending some time with us as a sanctuary dog but we now feel that she is ready to take the next steps towards rehoming.

Helen is a sensitive girl who needs a kind and gentle approach as she is still incredibly worried by people.
She loves food and always plucks up the courage to come over and take a treat from your hand.

Helen is such a pretty girl, she has a beautiful silky brown face which shines through her black coat.
Her eyes are like little chocolate buttons full of uncertainty but a longing to trust. It really is easy to fall in love with her.

She thrives in the company of other dogs and would benefit from living with at least one other dog in her new home as she gains confidence from them.

Helen has not yet been cat tested but this can be arranged for the right home.

Helen has really improved during her time with us but she can still be nervous and flighty, therefore she needs an experienced home with a secure garden.

Although Helen has a very sweet temperament – she has never tried to bite no matter how afraid she is, we do feel an adult only home would suit her best.

We have so much hope for Helen as she has shown real potential.
Adopting a dog like Helen will be extremely rewarding and we are excited at the prospect of her moving forward.

Adoption fee: £250

About our dogs

Our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, flea & wormed and have full travel documents where appropriate. If they are arriving from overseas they will have had all the pre-travel tests as required by DEFRA and are transported through the TRACES system.

We pride ourselves on being honest and open about our dogs, sharing all we know about them including any known behaviour challenges or medical conditions.

Like all responsible rescues we offer Lifetime Rescue Back Up to all the dogs who come through our doors.

One month trial

We want our dogs to be happy in their homes for life, which is why we offer a full one month trial. As they start to relax and their personalities shine through you’ll know if your home life suits and how they get along with any other pets.

If it’s not the right fit, they can come back to rescue and get straight back to playing, and we will try to find you a more suitable match. There aren’t enough homes out there so please don’t give up if your first dog doesn’t work out.
