Sid - Dogs 4 Rescue

Sid

More about Sid

Shy Sid is such a gentle and sweet natured boy.
He has progressed so much during his time spent with us – from hiding away all day in a place where he felt most safe, to now choosing to be around us. It has been wonderful watching him transform.

Sid has proven to be Mr Popular with all his doggy friends here, he has such a fantastic personality that all of the dogs navigate towards him and he never fails to get everyone rolling around for a good play.

Sid now loves to greet us each morning, inviting us in for a good fuss. He gives the warmest welcome and puts his arms around you like he’s going in for a hug!

Sid is a kind and lovely boy, super affectionate and cuddly, with soft silky fur and beautiful, trusting eyes.

Sid is still a nervous soul and will need ongoing support to help him build confidence. He is not yet ready to walk on a lead or tackle the outside world so a quiet home with a secure garden is essential.

Sid will need at least one other dog in the home to help him feel safe. He has not yet been cat tested.

We are looking for a home for Sid with experience of nervous dogs. He could live with older, sensible children aged 16+

Adoption fee: £250

About our dogs

Our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, flea & wormed and have full travel documents where appropriate. If they are arriving from overseas they will have had all the pre-travel tests as required by DEFRA and are transported through the TRACES system.

We pride ourselves on being honest and open about our dogs, sharing all we know about them including any known behaviour challenges or medical conditions.

Like all responsible rescues we offer Lifetime Rescue Back Up to all the dogs who come through our doors.

One month trial

We want our dogs to be happy in their homes for life, which is why we offer a full one month trial. As they start to relax and their personalities shine through you’ll know if your home life suits and how they get along with any other pets.

If it’s not the right fit, they can come back to rescue and get straight back to playing, and we will try to find you a more suitable match. There aren’t enough homes out there so please don’t give up if your first dog doesn’t work out.
